AyersHome Blog
AyersHome
Hello!
Heavens it's good to be back! Yes indeed, after my doctor said I had had a TIA, possible stroke, and with a deliciously serene new look. This photo is so beautiful and belongs to one of my ancestors. Isn't it heartwarming? My favorite!
And that's not all...you can join in the Housewives chatter, get to know your fellow chatterers and compare recipes over a virtual cuppa tea or coffee.
Above all else I hope this blog heralds a new era for AyersHome and get the AyersHome newsletter to be tops!
As a special treat I have popped up tasty new recipe treats for the end of Summer and I hope you will find a teeny bit of utterly scrumptious AyersHome inspiration, just the boost you need to fall in love with your cooking all over again.
Love you all...
Betty A.
Where I'm at...
Where I'm At:
Thrilled with my newly re-done site and hoping you are to. Sitting in a house that somewhat resembles a train wreck. I have been so busy with the cookbook, puppies and caring for my hubby. I'm thinking this may have caused my visit to the ER. This computer has me addicted and I just can't stay away from it.
Feeling:
Much loved. Panicked by not being organized in order to type recipes for the new cookbook. Worried about money. Glad that Cindy is back from their beach vacation because I feel bizarrely displaced when she isn't only a hop, skip and jump away.
Reading:
Now just because I'm reading it doesn't mean I recommend it ok? (!) But this
book the knowledge gained through research for this work has been particularly satisfying to me. If it does no more for others than to create an interest in family cookbooks and serve as a basis for additional recipe testing in your kitchen and serve as a basis for additional changing recipes to be your own, then it has still been worthwhile.
Eating
Dieting. Almost every day, yogurt, cottage cheese and blueberry salad. These food fads come and go , but right now I am blazing a trail through an Arby's beef and cheddar addiction. So shoot me, why don't ya?
Planning
To try and rest more. Ed is helping around the house. Meanwhile I'll be typing up a storm and sewing yellow flowers on the long white gown I bought for Taylor to play dress-up in, for her birthday.
Dreaming Of:
Holidays. Trying to keep a business running the summer with the puppies around and not a whole of help this year, is nigh on impossible. Though words cannot express how much I adore my puppies, the fact that they would rather sit in my lap all day long than do anything else in the whole wide world, is making working during daylight almost impossible. I miss our ordinary routine.
Coveting
Little girls party dresses at Once Upon A Child, the dealer was asking silly money for them, and though I turned on my bestest puppy eyes, and tried to make him understand that he would be doing a service to the wonderful world of dress-up vintage if he let me buy them for a sensible price, he was having none of it and I had to walk away empty handed. But I can't stop thinking about them, and though I believe that what is for you won't pass you, I can't help believing that this was the dress-
up clothes that got away.
Wishing
We had been on vacation this year. I can't imagine what it must be to be away from your life for any significant amount of time.
